On Monday the Golden Palm Bar, a sun-drenched terrace in the courtyard of NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, opens. The completely renovated Summer Garden has been transformed into a Tiki-style bar, with a menu of Hawaiian-inspired cocktails and bites. Especially for this summer pop-up, James Chaib, World Class' Dutch Best Bartender 2019, developed this concept together with his team; from the cocktails to the decor and atmosphere.
The Golden Palm Bar is a summer escape where guests can relax with 'next-level bespoke' cocktails and bites right in the center of Amsterdam, on Dam Square. The new cocktail menu was developed by the team of Bar The Tailor and inspired by the flavors of a tropical summer. Expect cocktails like Summer Garden Spritz with tropical tea, a Secret Garden Agent of lemon Chardonnay sorbet or a Tutti Fruitti Colada with fresh fruit. There is also a menu with matching bites, including a Hawaiian Poké Bowl or Huli Huli BBQ Chicken with pineapple chutney.
Golden Palm
The name Golden Palm Bar is not new to regular guests of the hotel. Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky is a historical icon. ‘’We have given the old name of our hotel bar a new meaning, ”said Bar Manager James Chaib. The name of the hotel bar was changed to Bar The Tailor in 2015; an ode to the profession of the hotel's founder, Adolph Krasnapolsky.

The international bar team consists of well-known names in the cocktail world. Not only James Chaib was the winner of the Dutch World Class Cocktail Competition, this year bartender Daniele Volpe has been placed among the last 10 Dutch finalists.
