In 1856, the 22-year-old A.W. Krasnapolsky arrives in Amsterdam. With a tailoring diploma in his pocket, the young man eagerly sets to work, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. After a long day of work, he seeks for relaxation in one of the coffee houses around Dam Square and in 1866 the young entrepreneur decides to take over one of these coffee houses. Herewith, A.W. Krasnapolsky lays the foundation for the legacy we all know today.
With his beverage knowledge and mixology skills, we would like to introduce you to our Bar Manager Konstantinos Mourloukos. In his 11 years of experience within the hospitality industry, his journey has been deeply enriched by a profound exploration of whiskey and a solid commitment to mixology.
Seeking for a little more privacy with friends or colleagues? Enjoy a tailor-made cocktail in our “snug” lounge! In the past, a "snug room" was a small private room where people could enjoy a drink without being seen. A local police officer often walked in for an undisturbed drink, the pastor for his evening whiskey or a couple for a secret meeting.
